welcome to the

SteppIR - Fluidmotion - page

from OE9PTI

The Stepp IR is a 3 Element Monoband Antenna from 20 - 6m !!

Via a control Box you can change all Elements in its length by boommounted Steppmotors, that gives you a typical Monoband Yagi design from 20 - 6m Band
You have the choice of several Reflector or Director configurations . The elements can be completely retracted in the housing for lightning protection !
The driven Element can be used as a simple Dipole also. The antenna is made of copper byrrilium which is moving in a strong fiberglas tube, so it is protected against humidity .
With the pretuned Keys you can change Band from 20-6m, or jump in 25khz Stepps with the up + down Buttons in ( CW to SSB section ) and outside the Band ( BC DXer )
By pressing one button you can turn the Antenna 180 Degrees in 3 seconds .That is achieved through a change of the Reflector Element length to the length of the Director Element and vice versa. The great advantage is a change of direction without physically turning the Antenna .

The antenna was installed with the help of good friends in about one afternoon .
Many thanks to OE9GOI, G4JDO, OE9KGJ !
